Important Ambassador Club Dates!

Ambassador Club's first meeting is Monday, August 26th, beginning at 9:30 and concluding at 12:30 in our new location at Community Bible Church, 6005 Edmondson Pike, Nashville, 37211.

Driving to Club tips: If coming north on I-65 to Ambassador Club from Brentwood/Franklin, and points south, take the Concord Road exit, travel east on Concord Road to Edmondson Pike to the church.

If coming south on I-65 from points north of Brentwood, take the Old Hickory Blvd. exiting east to the Nippers Corner intersection, turn right at the intersection on Edmondson Pike to reach the church. Edmondson Pike narrows south of Old Hickory Blvd. and is kind of windy, so be careful!

FALL SEMESTER DATES:

We will meet every Monday for 14 weeks in the Fall semester.

Ambassador Club Parent's Meeting
Our Ambassador Club parents will take place at Community Bible Church during Club time, from 11:15-12:30 on Monday, Sept. 23rd. We will meet in one of the upstairs classrooms. Look for signs directing you to the correct classroom and for a reminder email.

Our Fall Tournament is Thursday - Saturday, November 14-16, 2024, at Concord Road Church of Christ, 8221 Concord Road, Brentwood, 37027.

We do not meet the week of Thanksgiving, Monday, Nov. 25th.

Our last Fall semester Club meeting is December 9, 2024. We will take a three week break for Christmas.

SPRING SEMESTER DATES:

We begin our Spring semester on Monday, January 6, 2025.

Our Spring semester tournament is Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 6-8, 2025.

Our Rally Day,Homeschool Day at the Capitol. Scroll down to read about our Student Congress Tournament taking place in the afternoon in the Capitol on Tuesday, March 25. We do not meet the day before Rally Day at the Capitol, Monday, March 24.

We will conclude our regular club meetings for our Junior Varsity Club and the Senior Varsity students not going to Stoa's National Invitational Tournament of Champions, NITOC, on Monday, April 14, 2025.

The remaining four weeks, April 21-May 12, will focus on NITOC PREP, preparing the students going to Stoa's national tournament.

Fall & Spring Parties

We have regularly host two parties, one each semester. Usually our Fall semester party takes place in October on a Friday evening. Our Spring semester party, our End of Year party, usually takes place in late April or early May, also on a Thursday or Friday night. Watch for email announcements once our location and dates are secured.

Ambassador Club Tournaments

As listed above, our Fall Semester 2024 tournament is scheduled for November 14-16, and our Spring semester tournament is schedule for February 6-8, 2025, both taking place at Concord Road Church of Christ, 8221 Concord Rd, Brentwood, TN, 37027. Mark your calendars now to reserve these dates for our tournaments!

In mentioning tournaments, we want you to know that Ambassador Club is one of many Christian, homeschool, speech & debate Clubs affiliated with Stoa. Stoa is the only exclusively homeschool speech and debate league in the US.

Thanksgiving & Christmas Breaks

_Again, we always take off the week of Thanksgiving. Then we take a 3-week break for Christmas ending our Fall semester with our last Club meeting for the Fall semester on Dec. 9th,with Christmas parties for each group. We'll resume Spring semester Club meetings on Jan. 6, 2025.

THEA's Rally Day & CCT's Student Congress

Rally Day, the TN Homeschool Day at the Capitol is always on a Tuesday in the spring while the Tennessee General Assembly, our state legislature, is in session. This is so homeschoolers can easily meet with their legislators in their offices on Committee Day. Home-schooled students can also participate in a Student Congress Debate Tournament in the House and Senate Chambers of the Capitol Building held in conjunction with Rally Day. The House of Representatives and the Senate work with us to schedule the date for Rally Day. Our Day at the Capitol is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, 2025. As mentioned above, Ambassador Club does not meet on the Monday before Rally Day.

Christian Communicators of TN, CCT, Student Congress Tournament takes place in conjunction with Rally Day. Last year the Student Congress tournament for both Junior Varsity students and Senior Varsity students took place in the Capitol in the afternoon following the morning Rally in the House of Representatives Chamber. This is the plan for Rally Day 2025.

27 Weeks of Club Meetings in this school year

With 28 weeks of Club meetings, 14 in the fall semester and 14 in he spring semester, our last REGULAR Club meeting will be Monday, April 14th. On this day we will conclude Club meetings for the Junior Varsity and any Senior Varsity students not qualified for Stoa's National Invitational Tournament of Champions, NITOC. We will explain to new parents how students qualify for our national tournament at our Parent's Informational Meeting, Monday, Sept. 23 from 11:15-12:30, at Community Bible Church.

NITOC PREP

Speech and debate coaching will continue for four weeks for those SV students qualified for NITOC to further prepare them for competition at NITOC. We call this coaching NITOC PREP and it takes place in the weeks prior NITOC.

Stoa's 2025 National Invitational Tournament of Champions, NITOC, is scheduled to take place May 25-31, 2025, on the campus of Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ambassador Club's _NITOC PREP coaching will continue each Monday during our regular Club time April 21-May 12th. The NITOC tournament moves each year across the US from college campus to campus.

So, our Ambassador Club 2024-2025 calendar provides 14 weeks of speech and debate coaching in the Fall semester and 14 weeks of coaching in Spring semester for all our students. Then, our SV students qualified for our league's national tournament will continue to meet for four weeks until May 12th preparing for the Stoa National Invitational Tournament of Champions, NITOC.
